The Kitty CAT Project is aimed at building on a cooperation between pets, and the people who love them. This effort is primarily aimed at finding ways to limit pets exposure to environmental tobacco smoke. Although there are few scientific studies on the adverse effects of tobacco smoke on pets, evidence seems to indicate that exposure to environmental tobacco smoke is a health hazard for pets as well as their companions. The Communities Against Tobacco (CAT) Coalition of Cumberland County sponsors the project.

The chairman or chairpet of the project is Reggie K. Mosley. She is a gray tabby cat who resides in Deerfield Township. Reggie is an honorary member of the CAT Coalition of Cumberland County.
